Johannesburg ("EGOLI", the City of Gold) is a world class city that has plenty to offer both local and overseas visitors. Learn more about beer making by taking a tour of the South African Brewery's “World of Beer”, and afterward tasting their world-class products.

From the top of the 50 storey Carlton Center, fantastic views of Johannesburg and the surrounding suburbs can be seen. Visit the Apartheid Museum at Gold Reef City Casino (kids will enjoy the theme park!) or take a guided tour of Soweto, have lunch at a "shebeen" and meet the friendly residents.

Shop at the many antique or collectibles shops that offer good buys or during a weekend, visit a flea or craft market. Alternatively, you might enjoy a good theatre/musical performance at the Market or Civic Theatre.
